Assigning Permissions

The JustOn Banking Connector includes two new permission sets:

Permission Set Description
Bank Transactions - Read Only Allows users to read retrieved banking transactions
Bank Transactions - Read/Write Allows users to retrieve banking transactions

For details about permission set handling, refer to Manage Permission Set Assignments in the Salesforce Help.

Using Demo/Test Mode

The JustOn Banking Connector supports a Demo Mode and a Test Mode. The custom setting Target System controls the specific access mode.

Mode Description
Demo Mode Uses the figo service demo access, which includes a special demo bank and demo bank account. Does not require a figo login.
Test Mode Provides complete access, but must not be used for production. Requires a figo login.

To enable one of these modes, create a corresponding Target System custom setting.

  1. In Setup, open Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Lightning, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Classic, navigate to Develop > Custom Settings.
  2. Click Manage in the row of Target System.
  3. Click New.
  4. Specify either Demo or Test as the name.
  5. Click Save.

If there is no custom setting Target System defined, your JustOn Banking Connector uses the production mode.

Configuring Bank Transaction Filter

Your business may require to control which types of banking transactions are to be transferred. To this end, the JustOn Banking Connector uses the custom setting Bank Transaction Filter.

You can create a filter for each banking account to be considered. The name of the filter must match the account ID, which is also stored in the field AccountId__c of the Bank Transaction object. As soon as there is a filter set up for a specific account, it is used automatically when retrieving transactions.

  1. In Setup, open Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Lightning, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Classic, navigate to Develop > Custom Settings.
  2. Click Manage in the row of Bank Transaction Filter.
  3. Click New.
  4. Specify the details as necessary.
    For information about the mandatory fields and possible values, see the following table.
  5. Click Save.
Field Description
Name Unique name for the filter.
Account ID Must match the ID of the bank account for which the filter is to be applied.
Include Pending Indicates whether pending transactions are to be included in the response. Pending transactions are always included as a complete set, regardless of the selected time period.
Type A list of comma separated transactions types by which the transactions are filtered, like Transfer, Standing order
Active (checkbox) Enables/disables the filter. Defaults to true.

Note

Make sure to activate only one filter for a specific account ID. Enabling multiple filters per account produces unpredictable results.

Configuring Bank Transaction Content Filter

In addition to the Bank Transaction Filter setting, which configures the data retrieval from the banking service, you can filter the retrieved transactions by their content.

This filter is an exclude filter. Retrieved transactions that match the filter conditions are not written to the database. Consequently, you use this filter to determine transactions that you do not want to be retrieved based on the specified content.

  1. In Setup, open Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Lightning, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings.
    In Salesforce Classic, navigate to Develop > Custom Settings.
  2. Click Manage in the row of Bank Transaction Content Filter.
  3. Click New.
  4. Specify the details as necessary.
    For information about the mandatory fields and possible values, see the following table.
  5. Click Save.
Field Required Description
Name Unique name for the filter.
Content Must match with either the transaction field Name__c or Purpose__c.
Negative Amount (checkbox) If selected, only transactions with a negative amount are filtered, else transactions with a positive amount are filtered.
Active (checkbox) Enables/disables the filter. Defaults to true.
