How to update my company's bank details?

← Accounting Support FAQ

Your business may require to export SEPA bank transfer orders for invoices or account balances – a common means for collecting payments. These payment orders can then directly be used by banks for triggering the corresponding payment operations.

Exporting SEPA payment orders requires SEPA creditor information for your company (or company subdivision). In JustOn, this data is set on the business entity on whose behalf you create invoices.

The following fields on the business entity hold SEPA creditor data and are (usually) required for producing correct SEPA payment orders:

Field Description
Company The name of the business entity's company.
IBAN The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) of the business entity.
The saved IBAN can contain whitespaces. JustOn removes them on SEPA export.
BIC The SWIFT bank identifier code of the business entity's bank.
SEPA Creditor ID Each biller in SEPA will be identified with a creditor identifier. This identifier, in connection with the mandate reference, allows the payer and the payer's bank to verify each SEPA direct debit and to process or reject the direct debit according to the payer's instructions. Billers will have to request this identifier according to local practice.

To modify a business entity's information:

  1. Click to enter Setup, then open Custom Settings.

In Salesforce Lightning, navigate to Custom Code > Custom Settings.

In Salesforce Classic, navigate to Develop > Custom Settings.

  2. Click Manage in the row of Business Entity.

  3. Click Edit in the row of the business entity you want to edit.
  4. Modify the values for Company, IBAN, SEPA Creditor ID or BIC as necessary.
  5. Click Save.

New SEPA exports will now use the new SEPA creditor data.
