Stair Step Pricing
For stair-step pricing, you also define price tiers – quantity ranges and a price for each. But instead of a per-unit price (of the type Default
), you assign a flat price to each tier.
Tier | Quantity | Price | Price Type |
---|---|---|---|
A | 10 | 25,00 | Flat |
B | 20 | 45,00 | Flat |
C | 30 | 70,00 | Flat |
D | 100,00 | Flat |
Now if a customer purchases 5 units of this item, tier A applies: a flat charge of 25,00. If a customer buys 25 units, the item is billed as per tier C with a flat 70,00.
Stair-step pricing can be used with one-time, recurring or transactional (usage-based) items (see Billing Types).
