How to transition from SEPA order export to SEPA order transfer via EBICS?

← Banking and EBICS FAQ

Your business has been using the SEPA order export in JustOn Billing & Invoice Management. Now you want to benefit from the seamless SEPA order transfer to your bank via EBICS – provided by JustOn Cash Management.

Your requirements and the steps to take will vary. However, there is a number of general considerations. This guideline will help you get on track.

Process Comparison

The traditional SEPA order export workflow in JustOn Billing & Invoice Management involves:

  • Creation and export of SEPA XML files based on invoice (or balance) data
  • Physical download of the SEPA XML files to the local file system
  • Upload of the XML files to the banking system

The new SEPA order transfer in JustOn Cash Management provides:

  • Automatic generation of entries from invoices
  • Creation of SEPA orders from entries
  • Seamless EBICS-based transmission directly to the bank

Payment Instrument Migration

Note

There is no direct transfer path for payment instruments from JustOn Billing & Invoice Management to JustOn Cash Management.

If you plan to reuse payment instruments from JustOn Billing & Invoice Management for the SEPA order creation in JustOn Cash Management, JustOn recommends the following approach:

  1. Export the existing payment instruments from JustOn Billing & Invoice Management to CSV.
  2. Adjust the exported data to match the requirements for payment instruments in JustOn Cash Management.
  3. Import the adjusted payment instrument data into JustOn Cash Management.

The following table lists the data mapping between ONB2__PaymentInstrument__c fields and JPAY1__PaymentInstrument__c fields, and indicates which data is mandatory for creating SEPA orders in JustOn Cash Management.
