Can I use permission set groups?

← Setup and Service FAQ ← Salesforce Environment FAQ

To streamline user and permission management in your org, you can use permission set groups. Permission set groups bundle permission sets based on the users' roles. This may also involve the permission sets delivered with JustOn software, like JustOn Billing & Invoice Management or JustOn Cash Management.

The packaged permission sets are subject to upgrades as new objects or fields, Visualforce pages or Apex classes are added with new software releases. In this case, Salesforce recalculates the permission set group. To make sure that the updated permissions are available for the assigned users, you must monitor the permission set group status (→ Updated).

Status Description
Updated Indicates that the bundled permissions are up-to-date.
Failed Indicates that the latest recalculation has failed.
Undo the recent changes to the permission set group to make sure that the updated permissions are propagated to the users.
